Actor
Cris completed her professional acting training at “TEPA” - Teatro Escola de Porto Alegre in Brasil, as well as musical theatre at “NYFA” - New York Film Academy. In Australia, she has studied in schools such as NIDA and The Hub Studio. Herstage work in Brazil includes “Macbeth” (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS), “Who is Afraid of Virginia Woolf” (UFRGS), “The Balcony” (Teatro Sarcaustico), and “The Plagiarists” (Independent Production). In Australia, she has been in productions like “A Room with a View” (Genesian Theatre Company - GTC), “Hamlet” (Sydney Foreign Actors Association – SFAA - which she also co-produced), “Waiting for Govid” - An adaptation of “Waiting for Godot” during Covid-19 times, which she also co-produced and co-directed (Independent production), “My Family and Other Animals (Genesian Theatre Company - GTC)”, “Strangers on a Train” (GTC), “Radium Girls” (Lane Cove Theatre Company), and Turpentine (Popular Playhouse). Having participated yearly in Short + Sweet Sydney since 2018, she has been in multiple short plays, and won awards as an actor, playwright, and director.
Clown
Cris first trained as a clown in Brazil at a school called “Casa de Teatro de Porto Alegre” in 2011. Since then, he has trained extensively and began working professionally as a clown. She has been working as a clown, scare actor and performer at Luna Park Sydney since 2020. It is one of her favourite roles, where she gets to interact with children of all ages, as well as adults. Cris has perfectioned her clown skills through the years whilst working in the park. She truly enjoys the magic of making people laugh and find it an extremely rewarding occupation. Drama Teacher
Cris first started working as a Drama Teacher in Brazil in 2010. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge as an actor and performer with her students. Throughout the years, she has worked as a drama teacher for many different schools in Brazil and Australia, as well as hosting workshops and presenting lectures about “The Use of Drama in the Classroom”. Cris has produced many plays with her students, which she also directed. Some of the productions include: “Romeo and Juliet”, Alice in Wonderland”, “Fairy Tales Extravaganza”, and “Sherlock Holmes”. Cris has also got experience teaching drama and music to babies, toddlers and children. She has also worked as a teacher in school summer camps, teaching editing and video making for teenagers, as well as teaching how to make animation videos. Cris has been teaching Drama at EF Sydney since 2022. She absolutely loves to see students discovering the magical world of theatre and the creative arts and looks forward to new productions to come with future students. Puppeteer
Cris discovered her love for puppetry in 2017. All she had was a cardboard box and a couple of hand puppets. She founded “Puppet World of Cris” in 2017. Over the years, she has worked hard on perfectioning her puppetry skills. She has collaborated several times with different companies and done many puppet shows in association with Kidz in Harmony. She performs at birthday parties, celebrations, and commemorative events for both children and adults. Her shows can be delivered in five languages: English, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, and French. Cris also offers the option to dress up as some of the characters and entertain the children after the puppet shows are done. Cris writes her own scripts, develops the characters, and creates tailored shows for clients, such as milestone birthdays, engagement parties, or children’s birthdays.
